Safeguarding of Saint-Bernard

In March 2023, Nation Prospère submitted an offer to purchase the former Saint-Bernard Church in Baie Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia. Threatened with demolition at the time, the organization succeeded in taking possession on July 28, 2023, thanks to a partnership with
the Société Héritage Saint-Bernard.

The Campaign to Save Saint-Bernard aims to raise $2.5 million to
re-roof this mini-cathedral and modernize its services. A sound and light project, an observation tower and a museum-gallery are currently under study.

It took 32 years to build,
it’s ours to save today.
